Baby Centre
Butterfly
Class

The butterfly class is a small elite room where we accommodate no more than 6 babies aged from 3 -12 months. There is a qualified teacher as well as an assistant to ensure the babies are loved, cared for and stimulated. A communication book is also sent home everyday, in it is a breakdown of nappy changes, feeding as well as nap times for each day. The first 12 months of baby’s life are amazing, as they transform from a floppy headed newborn into a tiny person who can sit and play when propped up. While your baby will develop at his/her own pace, there are ways you can encourage that growth and that is what we pride ourselves on in our baby centre.

Children remember experiences that have an emotional component. Gentle, loving fun combined with responsive language from us creates an atmosphere in which learning thrives. That’s why it is important for us to bond with your child in these activities. Things you do together enhance their learning (among many other benefits). This is something that play-alone high-tech toys like tablets, video games, tv and others will not be able to offer.Your child’s brain grows at an explosive rate during the first three years of their life. During these critical brain-growth periods, long, thin nerve pathways grow inside the brain. These are wirings that connect and carry electrical impulses from brain cell to brain cell. The resulting network, which grows daily in the young brain, forms the neurological foundation of skills that your child will use for the rest of his life. Experiences after birth, in conjunction with your child’s gene, determine the eventual wiring of the human brain.

Although children reach developmental milestones at different times, your child will likely achieve the following developmental milestones within this year. Language and cognitive development. Movement and hand-finger skills. Emotional and social development.
